Our Physical Distancing Guidelines

Welcome to the First Congregational Church UCC of Romeo

Our main priority is the protection and safety of anyone that uses our building, especially our most vulnerable population.  To reduce the risk and impact of spreading the COVID-19 virus, please adhere to the following physical distancing guidelines.

Always wear a face mask/covering while in our building

Please always wear a face mask/covering while in our building.  If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.  Please make sure you take your mask/face covering with you.  Please dispose of any one-time use masks properly.  Do not leave them on the pew or in the hymnal holders.  If you have children under five years of age and it is difficult for them to wear a mask, we understand, and ask that you manage your physical distancing accordingly.

Avoid close contact, maintaining six feet between you and others

Please maintain six feet between you and other people, outside of the family members that may be with you.  Only sit in the pews that have cushions; the others have been removed to ensure proper physical distancing.  Do not gather in groups and stay away from any spaces that could cause crowding.

Sanitize your hands when entering the building

Please use the hand sanitizer when entering the building. It will be provided for you at different locations throughout the building.

Cover coughs and sneezes

Please cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze.  Please hold onto and then throw away any tissues you may have used.  Please do not place them on the pew or in the hymnal holders.

Be alert and take care of your health

Be alert for symptoms of COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.  If you feel any of these symptoms before entering or while in the building; we ask you to return home.  If you experience discomfort from wearing your face mask/covering in the heat or at any other time, please exit the building to remove your face mask/covering.

Limit bathroom use and do not use other rooms

Please try to limit your use of the bathroom and other rooms.  While we know there may be times when using the bathroom is needed, please take all precautions to limit your touch points and wash your hands thoroughly.

Take care to limit your direct contact with items in the church

Please limit any contact you have with church items and your surroundings.  We will be managing our cleaning and disinfecting process after each worship service, but your help in reducing the touch points is greatly appreciated.

We are blessed to have you with us and thank you for supporting us!
